Obituary

Akira Dene' Youngblood was born on March 8, 2001, to the parentage of Tremeka Youngblood Washington and Quintrell Scott, Sr. She was baptized as an infant at St. James United Methodist Church by Rev. Gaynell Nichols, and again at age 5 at Hopeful Triumph Baptist Church by Pastor Sidney Tobias. Church is where she developed her love for music as a member of the youth choir.

She attended Romeville Elementary School and graduated from Lutcher High School during her Junior year, while earning college credits through the Science & Math Academy for gifted students. Akira attended Xavier University on an academic scholarship and later enlisted in the United States Army National Guard, in which she was an active member until her Earthly departure.

Following her passion for hair and make-up, Akira developed and continuously nurtured her skills in preparation to start her own business in the beauty industry as a Hairstylist and Make-up Artist. She loved all things family, fashion, and glamour; and rarely did anything at all without music!
