On Friday, July 4, 2025, Albert Lee "Jake" Boudreaux entered eternal rest and went home to be with the Lord. He was born on August 24, 1949, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to the late Albert "Joe" Boudreaux and Olevia Boudreaux.
Albert accepted Christ and was baptized at Hopeful Triumph Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Sidney Tobias. He remained a faithful member of the church until death.
A proud graduate of John F. Kennedy Memorial High School, Class of 1968, Albert was a hardworking man who held various positions throughout his life. He worked as a longshoreman with Cargill, a crossing guard with the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office, and a janitor for several companies.
Albert was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 53 years, Gail Shivers Boudreaux; his children Corey Boudreaux of Geismar, LA, Brandi (Matthew) Payne of Gonzales, LA, and Reginald Bell of Gonzales, LA; grandchildren Corey Boudreaux, Caleigh Boudreaux, Alahni Payne, Aylah Payne, LaJarius Bell, Joyeau Bell, and Jaylon Bell, and five great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by his sisters Gail Boudreaux Allen of Geismar, LA, and Lorita (Gregory) Powell of Pineville, LA; brothers-in-law Charles Shivers Jr., Michael (Joyce) Shivers of Gonzales, LA, Donald Barnes, and Troy Barnes of New Orleans, LA; sisters-in-law JoAnn (Andrew) Thompson and Joan Shivers of Gonzales, LA; godchildren Marica Shivers James and Paula Taylor; and a host of beloved uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Albert was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Olevia Boudreaux; his son, Alonzo Boudreaux; and his brother, Charles Boudreaux.
