Dr. Alice Marie Williby was called to her heavenly home on Wednesday, November 25, 2015, at Oschner Hospital at 5:00 p.m. surrounded by her family. She was a resident of Prairieville, La. and a native of Donaldsonville, La., she was 66. She graduated from L. B. Landry High School in New Orleans, La. in 1967 and went on to receive her pharmaceutical and dental degrees from Howard University in Washington, D.C. After working in the D.C. area, she moved her dental practice to the Gonzales, La. area where she loved her patients. She was a minister of the gospel and was always willing to speak when asked. Alice was a wonderful mother and loved her family and friends deeply, always concerned about their well-being. She loved baking lemon cakes and making pecan candy for family and friends. She is survived by her daughter, Ashley Nicole Williby, six sisters; Cynthia Ashby, Althea Dunham (Reese), Emily Ross (Tracy), Brenetta Williby, Glenda Williby-Payton (Charles), Cassandra Williby-Tottress (Charles), three brothers; Reginald Williams, Jr.(Carolyn), Sheridan Williby, Jr. (Sharon), Andrew Williby (Shantelle), numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her mother, Victoria D. Williams; and father, Sheridan S. Williby, Sr. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation from the Hopeful Triumph Baptist Church located at 38584 Highway 22 in Darrow, La, from 9:00 a.m. until funeral services begin at 11a.m. on Saturday, December 5, 2015.
