Alither Weams Larks, 98, a native and  resident of Prairieville, La, passed away January 4, 2018 at her home peacefully.

Alither is survived by  two children, Roosevelt Larks Sr and Debra Larks both of Prairieville,  three siblings James Weams of Galvez, La,  Verla Brown and Thaddeus  Weams(Isabel)  both of Prairieville, La, one Sister in law Ollie Weams of Prairieville, La, one daughter in law, Carolyn Larks of Baton Rouge, La,  one God child William Lomas of Baton Rouge, La,  18 grandchildren, 47 great   grandchildren,  and 18  great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert J Larks Sr, parents Israel and Ellen Weams, siblings Ethel Scott, Doretha Larks, John Weams, and Burlen Weams, children Robert Larks Jr, Barbara Larks Williams, and Gwendolyn Larks.


The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude for the overwhelming amount of love shown to them during their moment of bereavement. No act of kindness has gone unnoticed, and a more formal thank you will be done at a later date.
