Auther Gabriel, a resident of Head of Island, La., departed this earthly life at Our Lady of the Lake, Baton Rouge, La. on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 7:30 pm. She was a retired domestic worker. Visitation at Second Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Head of Island, La., Saturday, February 1, 2014 from 9 am to service time at 11 am. Pastor Jermaine Brumfield officiating. Interment in Goodwill Cemetery, Head of Island. She leaves to cherish her precious memories (5) sons, Gregory Gabriel and Troy Gabriel, Head of Island,La.; Keith Gabriel, Oaklahoma City, Okla; Ronald Gabriel Sr.(Patricia), Gonzales, La.; Kerry Gabriel Sr.(Jean), Hammond, La.; (1) daughter-in-law, Paula Gabriel, Gonzales, La.; (22) grandchildren, (18) great grandchildren and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceeded in death by her maternal parents, Rodan and Sidney Gabriel, (2) sons, Barry Gabriel Sr and Bruce Gabriel, (1) sister, Hazel Gabriel and (1) nephew, Roy Paytron.
