Barbara Ann Thompson

A Native of Gonzales, LA, lived in Baton Rouge, LA transitioned from this life at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at St. Clare's Skilled Nursing Facility in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  Visiting at Lawson & Rollins Funeral Home, 511 Tobey  Avenue, Gonzales, LA on Friday, October 27, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday, October 28, 2023, from 10: 00 a.m. until religious service at 11:00 a.m. at New St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 14130 Highway 44, Gonzales, LA: conducted by Pastor Paul R. Murray.  Internment in Prairieville Community Cemetery.

She leaves to cherish her memories a son, Jarrmann Channdayle Sanders, a grandson, Xavier Channdayle Sanders, a devoted Caregiver and daughter, Luciann Ridgley, one godson, Randall Veal; five sisters, Ida Thompson Payton-Paul (Ricardo), Aynn Thompson Murray, Elena Thompson,  Arno Thompson Ferguson and Doris Green; two sisters-in-law, Betty Coppage and Claretta Lane; six nieces, Tyrra Thompson Wilson (Quincy), Howadnette Ferguson Edmond (Lonnie), Christy Ferguson Cage (Larry), Janie Ferguson Dunn (Jesse), Linda Gail Murray Clark (James) and Jeannette Murray Terrell; One Nephew, Randdero M. Thompson (Amanda).   A host of great nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mamie Christy Thompson, father, Shedrick Thompson, Maternal Grandparents, Fred and Easter Powers Christy;  Paternal Grandparents, Michael & Stella Dempsey Thompson, two brothers, James E. Thompson and Shedrick Thompson, Jr., three brothers-in-law, Norman Payton, Howard Ferguson and Sheldon Murray; 3 Maternal Aunts, One Maternal Uncle, 4 Paternal Aunts, and 5 Paternal Uncles.  Lawson & Rollins Funeral Home in charge of Arrangements.
