Obituary

Brenda Logan Thomas was born on February 21, 1980, to Charles Logan and the late Patricia Ann Thomas in Baton Rouge, LA.  She departed this earthly life on June 26, 2024.  Brenda was baptized at an early age by the late Dr.  Richard Rayborn, Sr at The Christian Assembly Full Gospel Church.  She later became a member at St. Paul Baptist Church.

Brenda was employed at Lamendola's Supermarket as the Head Cook for 13 years and Medical Management for 3 plus years as a Direct Service Worker.

Brenda, affectionally known as Blakk, was a sweet, kind, loving soul.  If there is one thing that Brenda knew, it was her passion for cooking.  The love that she put into it was what made her food amazing!!  Her love for her kids were undeniable and something she did not play about.

Brenda's smile reached the entire Ascension Parish.  To know her was to love her.  She shared her love and one person got just a lil bit more (Duane Carpenter)!! Nobody compared to him!!

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: Her (3) children:  Nolan(Terry)Wilson, Darnell Thomas, and Patricia Wilson; Her father, Charles Logan; brother, Vernon Thomas; (2) sisters-n-law: Brenda Williams-Thomas and Demetrious Moses-Thomas; (2) grandchildren: Haisleigh Grace Wilson and Jazmine Ashley; (4) stepchildren: Kobe, Kyndal, Eric and Kevonte; (2) devoted uncles: Lionel Thomas and Anthony Logan; (3) aunts: Barbara(Perry) Castell, Thelma Darville, and Bernice Washington;  (4) Godchildren:  Keyana Lomas, Ja'Nacia Landry, August Jones, and Drea'ma Asmore;  A host of nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends; Lamendola's Supermarket, Gonzales Police Department, Ascension Parish Police Department and Ascension Parish as a whole.

Brenda was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Ann Thomas, her maternal and paternal grandparents, one Godchild, Tiesha Lomas, one brother: Steven "Bubba" Thomas, and a very special cousin: Carrie Ward.

The family wishes to express their gratitude for the overwhelming amount of love shown during this difficult time. No act of kindness has gone unnoticed, and a more formal display of appreciation will take place at a later date.
