Brett Wayne Lucas (55) a native of Greenwell Springs, LA and a resident to Carenco, LA passed away December 23, 2020 at Lafayette General Hospital. A private memorial will be held at Lawson-Rollins Purple Shield Funeral Home.

He leaves to cherish his memories: A Special Friend Gloria Richardson, His two daughters, Kimberly Richardson of Baton Rouge, LA and Brittany Lucas of Montgomery, AL, two grandchildren, Malik Simmons and E'Mya Rodriguez of Baton Rouge, LA. Two sisters, Richelle Singleton and Chelsea Lucas both of Baton Rouge, LA. two brothers, Reginald Lucas (Karla) and Victor Lucas (Venetra) of Zackary, LA. A host of relatives and friends.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Emma Singleton Young and his Richard Lucas, Sr. His maternal and paternal grandparents. One sister Sonja Singleton and one brother Richard Lucas, Jr. One nephew Jason Singleton and one cousin Derrick "Dude" Lucas, Sr.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude for the overwhelming amount of love shown to them during their moment of bereavement. No act of kindness has gone unnoticed, and a more formal thank you will be done at a later date.
