Carlos Darnell Riley, 50, a native of Darrow, LA and resident of Gonzales, LA transitioned Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at his residence. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 25, 2021 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Lawson & Rollins Purple Shield Funeral Home, 511 Tobey Avenue, Gonzales, LA and Saturday, June 26, 2020, at the First Mount Olive Baptist Church, 4396 Highway 75, Geismar, LA from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Funeral services will immediately follow with Pastor Sylvia Burnett-Payton officiating. Interment will be at Von Hoff Cemetery (Darrow, LA). Survived by his mothers, Gloria P. Riley and Betty O. Riley; sisters: Kelanda Riley, Sultra Osborne, Shawn Wilson, Shawan Bellow, Sonia Martin and Shandolan Carey; brothers: Jason (Loretta) Riley and Isadore (Tanny) Riley, Jr.; five daughters: LaDazha Allen, Phoebie Owens, Autumn Lee, Kai'den Davis, and Carlecia Frizell; two sons: Nathaniel Mason and Shannon Barthe'; one grandson: Kingston C. Mollere; godparents: Dennis Carey, Sr. and Joyce C. Leblanc; 4 godsisters, 1 godbrother and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his father, Isadore Riley, Sr.; paternal grandparents: Leonard Riley, Sr. and Lillie Russell Riley; maternal grandparents: Percy Parker, Sr., Wilson Carey and Mary Glover Carey; sister: Lillie Denise Riley; and son: Quinton JaCarlo Joseph.
