A loyal employee of Po-Boy Lloyds and a resident of Baton Rouge, she died Sunday, July 8, 2012, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Mid City. She was 61 and a native of New Orleans. Visiting at North 32nd Street Church of Christ, 1414 N. 32nd St., on Saturday, July 14, from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m., conducted by Bro. Howard Rhodes. Interment in Do Right F.G.B.C. Cemetery, Gonzales. Survived by her mother, Lucy M. Davis, Baton Rouge; daughter, Yolanda Gross, Baton Rouge; a niece whom she reared, Suzette Ferguson (Eugene); three sisters, Evelyn Bennett, Cherry Riley and Jacqueline Smith, all of Baton Rouge; four brothers, James, Maurice, Mark and Perry Bennett, all of Baton Rouge; and three grandchildren, Ka'Aisha Gross, Myeisha Gross and Prechious Gross. Preceded in death by her father, Morris Bennett; stepfather, Johnnie Davis; husband, Charles Gross; and 2 brothers, Otis Swanson Sr. and Harold Bennett.
