Curtis Joseph Jr., affectionately call "Shing" by family and friends, passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at his residence in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was born February 4, 1936 to the late Curtis Joseph Sr. and Albertha Joseph in Sunshine, Louisiana.

"Shing" will be sadly missed by his wife, Willie Mae Joseph, Baton Rouge, La.; 1 son, Marvin Joseph Sr. and fiancée Molly, Baton Rouge; 1 daughter, Tammy Mitchell (James), Baton Rouge; 4 sisters, Ollie Smith, Baton Rouge, Eloise Joseph, Albertha Williams and Elodie Williams (Larry), Saint Gabriel, La.;2 brothers, Retired Sergeant Major Willie James Joseph, Fayetteville, N. C. and Retired Chief Warrant Officer 5 Louis Lionel Joseph, (Rose), Independence, La.; 1 sister-in-law, Catherine Joseph, Baton Rouge; 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 2 former sisters-in-law and 1 former brother-in-law; many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma; parents, Curtis and Albertha Joseph; 4 brothers, Lawrence, Lester Lee, LeRoyal and Larry Joseph; and 2 nephews and 1 niece.
