Mr. Derland D. Moses, age 38, a native and resident of St. Amant, LA, passed away at his home on January 1, 2020.  Derland was born in New Orleans, LA on January 28, 1981 to Robert L. and Yvonne D. Green-Moses.  He graduated from St. Amant High School and attended River Parish Community College.  Derland was also enrolled in a Bachelor's of Art online program at Ashford University in San Diego, California.  Formerly, he worked as a sheet metal fabrication specialist at a local metal and roofing company.  Derland was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend to many who will miss him dearly.

Derland is survived by his mother, Yvonne Moses-Picou and step-father Matthew Picou; brother, Ryan Moses (Allie); twin sisters, Christiana (Anna) Moses and Christian (Chrissy) Moses; maternal grandmother, Annie M. Green McIntyre and grandfather Ferdinand (Mack) McIntyre; five nephews, Josiah, Rylan and Caleb Moses,Kai and Leo Davis; one neice, Ava Ruiz; close friend Deion Davis, faithful friends Bodie and Macy Molliere; and a hosts of cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Derland is preceded in death by his father, Robert L. Moses, maternal grandfather, Milton J. Green, Sr., maternal great grandmother, Viola (Fimp) Collins; maternal grandmother Annie Crockett Green; an uncle, Milton J. Green, Jr.; paternal grandfather and grandmother Willie Moses, Sr., and Virgie Mae Moses; an uncle, Alford Moses.

Visitation will be 10 am, Saturday, January 18, 2020, followed by the Memorial Service at 11am.  Both will be held at the Household of Faith Activity Center located at 10469 Airline Highway, Gonzales, LA 70737.
