A retired Ascension Parish school bus driver and resident of Darrow, she died at 10:45 a.m. Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, at her home in Darrow. She was 63 and a native of New Orleans. Visiting at Life Cathedral Worship Center, Gonzales, on Saturday, Oct. 20, from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m., conducted by Rev. Victor Pedescleaux. Interment in Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery, Darrow. Survived by her spouse, Ronnie T. Vallery, Darrow; daughter, Yolanda Brown (Marvin), Darrow; three sons, Thaddeus Vallery (Tiffany), Prairieville, Lorenzo Rodgers (Cassondra), New Orleans, and Terry Vallery (Felecia), Darrow; two sisters, Brenda Evans, Yvonne S. Greer, California; three brothers, Harold T. Valentine and Oscar John Valentine Jr., California, Wayne Valentine, Darrow; 10 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, Oscar Sr. and Fannie Mae Valentine; and sister, Fannie Mae Hines.
