A native of Head of Island and resident of Baton Rouge, she was born March 10, 1933, and passed away Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. Visiting will be at Greater Second Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Head of Island, on Friday, Dec. 27, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., followed by services at the church at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, conducted by the Rev. Jermaine Brumfield. Interment in Goodwill Cemetery, Head of Island. Survived by two daughters, Doris Durr and Pansy Cheri; five sons, Steve Harris Jr., Keith Harris, Troy Harris, Ronald Harris, Craig Harris; eight sisters, Elnora Quiet, Margie Hawkins, Georgiana Jackson, Lillie Davis, Jessie Hart, Daisy Norman, Barbara Thomas, Tori Youngblood Jackson; and three brothers, John, Henry and James Youngblood. Preceded in death by her parents, Lester Sr. and Dorothy Youngblood; three brothers, and two sisters.
