Dorothy Tasker Brown, surrounded by her loving family, surrendered peacefully, as she was led by the angels to her eternal heavenly home at 1:30 a.m., on Saturday, January 2, 2016, at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge, at the age of 88 years old. Dorothy's kind and giving spirit will linger on forever in the hearts of all of those who knew her and loved her dearly. Her precious memories will remain with her three sons; James & Carol Brown of Baton Rouge, LA, Bernard Brown of Carville, LA and Jerry Brown of Baker, LA; two daughters; Hollis Redditt of Carville, LA and Karen Bell of Baton Rouge, LA. Her cherished memories will also remain in the hearts of her eleven grandchildren; Melini Redditt, Rochelle Brown, Jerry O. Brown, Kedron Brown, Edna Snowden, Edward Brown, Forrest Brown, Ashante Brown, Kameron Bell, Kaleb Bell and Jonah Brown; 6 great grandchildren and 1 sister; Evelyn Tasker of Sunshine, LA and a host of other nieces, nephews, godchildren and friends. Her family would also like to extend sincere thanks to the physicians and staff in the Emergency and Telemetry Departments at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Gonzales, LA and the physicians and staff in the Cardio vascular Intensive Care Unit at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital.
