Douglas Tillotson, 71, a native and resident of Prairieville, LA, departed this life on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Clarity Hospice of Baton Rouge surrounded by his loving family.

Douglas is survived by and leaves to cherish his memories,  three sons, Brent Ross (Vanessa) of St. Gabriel, LA; Gerald Ross (Larraine) of Gonzales, LA; and Ron Ross (Kendra) of Zachary, LA; two granddaughters, Makayla Ross and Malachi Ross; two brothers, Louis Tillotson (Ernestine) of Prairieville, LA and Obbie Tillotson (Gladys) of Baton Rouge, LA; four sisters, Hattie Hilliard, Neta Smith and Mary Hargrove of Prairieville, LA, and Lacey Tillotson of Baton Rouge, LA.  He will also be lovingly remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents, paternal grandparents (Samuel and Lacey Tillotson) maternal grandparents (John and Mary King Bailey), two brothers: Emile Tillotson and Joseph Hayes, three nephews (Emile Tillotson, Jr., Lucious Hargrove, Jr., and Byron Hayes) and a niece (Cheryle Hayes).

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude for the overwhelming amount of love shown to them during their moment of bereavement. No act of kindness has gone unnoticed, and a more formal thank you will be done at a later date.
