Earl "Nunnie" Burd, an 86 year old retired U.S. Army Veteran and decorated Vietnam War hero, departed this life on Saturday April 20, 2019. He was a resident of Belle Rose.

He is survived by his three daughters; Pamela (Phillip) Allen, Kamela Burd, and Mysti (Travis) Turner, six brothers, eight sisters, to one whom he provided life-long fatherly nurturing, Five step-children, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude for the overwhelming amount of love shown to them during their moment of bereavement. No act of kindness has gone unnoticed, and a more formal thank you will be done at a later date.
