Eleanor Pack Shivers, On Wednesday, December 18, 2013, at 9:40 p.m., went home to be with the Lord. Eleanor was born August 20, 1927 to the late Abraham and Ethel Stark Pack. She was the third oldest of eight children. Eleanor was a member of Hopeful Triumph Baptist Church. Eleanor was employed as a domestic worker for many years in a number of the Robert family homes including Kelly and Lois Simoneaux and Shelby and Betty Robert. Eleanor was united in Holy matrimony to the late Charles Shivers Sr. and reared 7 children. She leaves to cherish her memories 2 sons, Charles(Ethel) Shivers, Gonzales, La. and Michael(Delva) Shivers Sr., Geismar, La.; 2 daughters, Joann(Andrew) Thompson, Gonzales and Gail (Albert) Boudreaux, Geismar; 2 daughters-in law, Joan Shivers and Stacey Shivers Smith, Gonzales; 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; 1 brother, James(Helen) Pack Sr. and 1 devoted sister, Gloria Mason, Youngstown, OH; 1 godchild, Robert Jackson Jr.,and a host of beloved nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Shivers Sr.; parents, Abraham and Ethel Pack; 2 sons, Mark and Reginald Shivers; 1 daughter, Dawn Shivers Scott; 1 grandson Alonzo Boudreaux; 2 brothers, Clarence and Holly Pack and 3 sisters, Eliza Pack, Shirley Pack Foster and Brenda Pack Jackson. There will be a visitation Monday, December 23, 2013 at Hopeful Triumph Baptist Church, 38584 Hwy 22 Darrow, La. 70725 at 9:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Sidney Tobias officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
