Eliza Coco York, a resident of Gonzales, LA and native of St. Gabriel, LA died on Saturday March 11, 2017 at the Baton Rouge General Mid-City at the age of 69. Eliza was a retiree from the State of Louisiana/ Elayn Hunt Correctional Center Dentists Department with 30 years of service. She was a member of Word of Life Christian center and served faithfully in the ministry under Apostle Leroy Thompson Sr.

Eliza was married to James York Jr for 30 years. She is survived by her daughter, Leslie York Jackson and 2 sons; Derrick J. York and Brent J. York; as well as 7 grandchildren and 6 siblings.
