Ella Mae Jones was born on October 16, 1941, to the union of Willie Jones Sr, and Mamie R. Jones. Ella Mae departed this life on Friday, March 29, 2024. Ella Mae accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of Life at an early age. She was a faithful member of Mount Gillion Baptist Church until God called her home,

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: three children Lesia Johnson (Robert); Jonathan Jones (Anna) and Marilyn Wilkinson (Kevin); two honorary children Kenny Lewis (Renee) and Anuli Jackson; seven grandchildren, Luther Nash, Talisha Johnson, Robert  Trey Johnson, Jonathan Jones Jr., Tabitha Dunbar, Johnny Jones and Chelsey Wilkinson, twelve great grandchildren, one sister Marie Jones, two brothers Bernard Jones (Bernice), Odis Jones Sr., a good friend Mrs. Willie Mae Thompson and a host of wonderful nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

She was proceeded in death by her parents Mamie and Willie Jones Sr., seven brothers: Ernest Jones, Larry Paul Jones Sr., Lory Jones Sr., Lester Jones Sr., Willie Jones Jr., Alvin Jones, four sisters Delores Ray, Martha Douglas, Linda Dunn, and Irma Monday.
