Elvin "Popsie" Diggs Sr., 61, a resident of Convent, Louisiana, departed his life on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Gonzales, Louisiana with his loving wife by his side.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Barbara Diggs; 5 daughters, Naomi Diggs, Chreka Vessel, Lafita Diggs, Kayata Mayo and Dara Diggs; 5 sons, Elvin Diggs Jr., Moses Diggs, Jermarius Diggs, Ignatius Diggs and Oseco Diggs; 2 brothers, Preston Honor and Stephon Domonick; 3 sisters, Shirley H. Lewis, Debra Diggs and Dorothy Ross; a host of grandkids; 1 great granddaughter, Nia Diggs; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles , cousins and friends.
