A resident of St. Gabriel and native of Sunshine, she died at 6:15 a.m., Saturday, March 17, 2012, at Ascension Health Care. She was 87. Viewing at First Mt. Carmel Baptist Church on Friday, March 23, from 9 a.m. until services at 11 a.m., conducted by Bishop Eugene Harris. Survived by family member, Yvonne J. Washington of St. Gabriel.
