Ferdinand "Tiny" Johnson, age 68, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2013 at 09:32 am at St. Joseph's Carpenter House. Ferdinand was born July 13, 1945 in New Orleans, Louisiana and resided in Prairieville, La. He worked for Stevens Meat Company , Borden Milk Comapny and Kaiser Aluminum and was a member of local 582/37. He leaves behind to cherish his memories, His loving and devoted wife Deloris Johnson of 47 years, 2 Daughters, Marian Johnson, and Bridget Johnson-Gordon, Son-In-Law Ahmadou Gordon along with Grandchildren Erin Miles, Akela Gordon, Tyrone "TJ" Johnson-Miles Jr., An'Je Gordon and A'ki Gordon. 5 sisters, Doris Darville, Velena Johnson, Eloise Jackson, and Sophie Hunt(leroy), Betty(Lena) Stephens with a host of nieces and nephews. 2 Sister-In-Laws, Albertha "Big Sis" Johnson and Irene Cushenberry and 1 Aunt, Eva Lewis. He is preceeded in death by his mother, father, brother, 2 nephews and 1 niece. Ferdinand's final wish was to have a life celebration on January 3,2013 at Lawsom-Rollins Purple Shield Funeral Home (511 W. Tobey Ave Gonzales,La). The viewing will be held from 4pm-8pm. The dismissal will be Saturday January4, 2013 at the funeral home starting at 11:00 am. The burial will follow at Cornerview Cemetery.
