George Edward "Bub" Smith, a long time resident of St. Gabriel and Darrow, LA departed this life on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at his home in Baton Rouge. He was 62. He is survived by his sister, Grace S. Holiday; nephew, Steven T. Holiday; niece, Gina L. Holiday; four step daughters, Karen Jackson, Bonita Hardy, Marlene King and Darlene Sterling; and a host of other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, Earline Smith; mother, Augustine S. Lodge; and father, George Knox. Funeral will be on Monday, Jan. 19. Viewing from 9 am until funeral at 11 am at the Christian Assembly Church, 42156 Hwy 941, Gonzales, LA, conducted by Pastor Richard Rayborn, II. Burial in church cemetery.
