Geraldine Hardin Lomas was born March 28, 1953 in New Orleans, LA to Mary Pinkney Hardin and Bernell Jordan. She grew up in Plaquemine, LA and was educated in the Iberville Parish School System.

Geraldine, affectionately known as "Poppy," went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 19, 2025. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She enjoyed life and lived it unapologetically. She left a lasting impression on all she met and this world.

Left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband Herman; son: Elliot (Tya) Hardin; two daughters: Lynette Vallo and Angela Hardin; brother: Lionel Hardin; three sisters: Rev. Dr. Leleia Jordan, Patricia Simpson, and Edna Myles; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two God-daughters: Monica Hardin and Lois Ann Johnson; God-mother: Gladys Howard; God-sister Alison Howard; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

She was met on the other side by her grandparents, parents, brothers: David Hardin, Lloyd Harris, John Harris; nephews, great-grandson, and a host of other relatives and friends.
