Gladys Williams Tillotson was born on October 21, 1941 to the late Vick Williams, Sr. and Edna Mae Harris Williams. She transitioned with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 23, 2023. She received Christ at an early age under the leadership of the late Reverend Isaish Barnes at New Light Baptist Church.

Gladys received her High School Diploma from McKinley Senior High School. After graduation she attended Southern University. She retired from Baton Rouge General Hospital.

Gladys was a very loving and kind person who enjoyed people and good food. She loved to sew and shop. She was a loving, caring, and devoted wife, mother, sister, and aunt. She will always be remembered for her beautiful singing voice and her amazing fried chicken.

She is preceded in death by her mother Edna Mae Williams, Father Vick Williams, Sr., Brother Vick Williams, Jr., Niece Erica L. Bergeron, Brothers-in-law Joseph Henry Bergeron (Baton Rouge, LA); Joseph Hayes (Compton, CA), Emile Tillotson (Ponitac, MI), and Douglas Tillotson (Prairieville, LA). Her memories will also be cherished by a host of relatives and friends.
