Larks, Gwendolyn (Niecey) Denise, on Friday, November 15, 2013, was called home to meet her Lord and Savior. Niecey was born August 30, 1955 to Robert Larks Sr. and Alither Larks. She was baptized at an early age by the late James Delaney. Niecey leaves to cherish her memory a loving mother, Alither Larks of Prairieville, La.; 1 borther, Roosevelt Larks Sr. and 1 sister, Debra Larks, both of Prairieville; 2 uncles, Thadeus Weams (Isabel), Prairieville, La. and James Weams, Galvez, La.; 2 aunts, Verla Brown and Ollie Weams, both of Prairieville. She also leaves a special devoted cousin, Mary Alice Johnson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Niecey was preceded in death by her father, Robert Larks Sr., her grandmother Ellen Weams, a brother, Robert Larks Jr. and 2 sisters, Althea and Barbara Larks. A funeral service will be held at Mount Gillion Baptist Church, 38280 Henry Road, Prairieville, La., Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, at 12:00 Noon. Visitation is at the church from 9:00 a.m. to service time. Presiding minister, Rev.Jermaine Brumfield. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
