Obituary

Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

Henry "Hank" "Jughead"  James Williams passed away peacefully on Friday, June 23, 2023 at Capital Oaks and Nursing Rehabilitation Center with family at his side.


Henry was born on November 8, 1945, to the late Hillery "Jack" and Georgia "Duke" Williams. He resided in Galvez, Louisiana for most his life. He was baptized at an early age, later in life he joined Shiloh Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Levan Jackson Sr. He attended Prairieville High School and worked at St Amant High School as a custodian for many, many years.


He also worked at Gonzales Public Works Department and Coleman Toyota in Baton Rouge until his health failed. Henry will be remembered as the life of the party, as he loved getting together with family and friends to celebrate any occasion with a cold one in hand. Holidays, family cookouts, and gatherings were a chance to enjoy life and have a good time.


Henry leaves to cherish his memories; his daughter, Brenda (Reginald Sr.) Douglas, and a son, Anthony (Wendy)  Williams, both of Galvez, Louisiana. One son-in-law, Edwin "Peanut" Harris of Prairieville, Louisiana. Grandchildren; Tavaris (Hope) Douglas, Okinawa Japan, Reginald Jr. (Brittany) Douglas, Rashann (David) Albus, both of Baton Rouge, LA, Edwin Will Harris Scott Jr. of Prairieville, LA, Akaijah James, Houston, TX, Makayla Williams, Galvez, LA, Skylar Teston and Devin Manning, both of Gonzales, LA. One great-grand daughter, Avianna Jenkins, Gonzales, LA. One brother, Gary Williams, Gonzales LA. Special Friends; John "June" and Josephine Talbert, Galvez, LA and Joseph "Wallace" and Erma Albert of Prairieville, LA. One jokester nephew, Reginald Henry of Prairieville, LA and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.


Henry was preceded in death by his parents, Hillery and Georgia Williams, a son born still, one daughter, Tanya Henry Harris, two sisters, Daisy B. Stewart, and Dorothy Jackson. Two brothers, Walter Williams and Curtis Williams. A host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
