Henry Ursin, 80 a native and resident of Convent, passed away November 25, 2023 at Our Lady of Lake Regional Center. Visitation will be held on December 2, 2023, 2:00 p.m. at Lawson-Rollins Purple Shield, 511 W. Tobey Ave Gonzales, La 70737. Service will begin at 3:00 p.m. at Lawson-Rollins Purple Shield conducted by Pastor Devin Mason of Philippian Baptist Church. Burial will follow in St. James United Methodist Church Cemetery in Convent, La.

Mr. Henry is survived by two daughters Shawn Ursin of Convent, La and Damara Ursin of College Station, Tx. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, two brother in laws, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Preceded in death by his wife Stella Mae Hampton-Ursin, son Lerone Wendell Ursin, parents Elaine Taylor and Joesph Ursin, three brothers, five sisters, one sister in law, three brother in laws, aunts, uncles, and other relatives.
