Jaylen Ray Smith, affectionately known as "Jay Jay," was born on January 30, 2009 at Tulane Hospital to Valerie White and Nicholas Smith.
He accepted Christ at a young age. Jaylen was an 11th grader and attended Lutcher High School. He often enjoyed playing his game, playing basketball, spending time with his siblings and # 1 cousin, Malik as well as his friends. He also had a love for music in which he gave himself the rapper name, "Pablo" and "4BabyJay."
Jaylen was full of love and affection in which he showed to other daily; especially his mother whom he always reminded how beautiful she was. Jaylen will forever be loved and cherished in the hearts of those that he left behind; his mother and father; Valerie White and Nicholas Smith(Danesha), siblings; Ja'Kye White, Brielle Boe, Harley Oubre, Willow Smith, Jordan Smith, Nicholas Sims, Summer Sims, Aaliyah Smith, Devin Sims, Kelly Williams, Alaina Marrie and Alexis Davis, grandparents; Genice "Juanita" White (Richard) and Rose Smith, a devoted aunt, Latrice White(Marvin), uncles; Edward and Jermaine White, 2 great aunts; Emma Jean Thomas and Valarie White, his girlfriend Amyria Bovie, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Jaylen was preceded in death by his grandparents, uncle Jason Jones and other relatives.
