Jessie C. Melton, Sr., 78, a native of Gonzales and a resident of Donaldsonville, LA passed away on January 8, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Hospital.

He is survived by former wives Linda Perkins Melton (Mandeville, LA) & Minister Linda Holmes Melton (Clinton); sons Nalander Melton (Katrenia) of New Orleans, LA., Sean Melton of Darrow, LA., Jessie Melton, Jr. (Lashnietia) & Sheldon Melton of Baton Rouge, LA; daughters Crishelle Melton (James Victor, III), Shalan Melton Randolph (Damian) & Bianca Perkins of New Orleans, LA; Grandchildren, Timothy Johnson, Delilah May, Nalander Melton, Jr., Nicholas Melton, Nyles Melton, Nalonna Melton, Damian, Randolph, Jr. & Shayde Randolph of New Orleans, LA., Lorenzo, Tre'Vaughn, Cameron, Jaelynn, Jaleah, Jessie, III & Mariah Melton of Baton Rouge, LA.; brother Robert Melton of Gretna, LA., devoted niece Carol Melton Brumfield of Baton Rouge, LA., Sister in laws- Clara Melton and Louise Grayer of Baton Rouge; former mother-in-law Harriett McCoy; 6 former brother-in laws and 9 former sister-in laws and a hosts of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Proceeded in death by daughter Nonesia Melton May, former wife Johnnie May, parents Conley & Carrie Melton, former Father & Mother-in-law Dan and Margaret Perkins, former Father-in-Law Lynell McCoy, 19 brothers and sisters and a host of brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews.
