Jimmie Jackson (72) was born on January 11, 1949 and is a graduate of John F. Kennedy Memorial High (1968). He accepted Christ at an early age andquietly transitioned from his earthly home on Sunday, January 17, 2021. Surrounded by Angels, he laid his head to rest, clung to his abiding faith, and accepted God's grace. Jimmie, a beloved father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend, will forever be remembered. He touched so many lives and left such an impression by his actions and existence, he will forever be with us.

Jimmie is survived by his daughter Tasha J. Neasman; brother Roosevelt Jackson; grandchildren, Tyren and Taveion Neasman; several nieces and nephews; the mother of his children Olivia Edwards Jackson.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Lovie Jackson; son Tyson Jackson; brother Rudolf Jackson; and sisters Nonnie Brown; Rosia Lee Jackson; and Exola LeJeune;

Lawson-Rollins Purple Shield Funeral Home, 511 W. Tobey Ave., Gonzales, LA , is providing the burial and funeral services.  A wake will be held on January 23, 2021 from 10 :00 am-11 :00 am , followed by a memorial service beginning at 11:00am .

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude for the overwhelming amount of love shown to them during their moment of bereavement. No act of kindness has gone unnoticed, and a more formal thank you will be done at a later date.
