On Sunday, January 4, 2015, God saw fit to call Johnson "Fat" Leggett, Jr.from this mortal life to his eternal life at the Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was born August 30, 1950 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, January 9th, 2015 at Purple Shield funeral home and continue on Saturday, January 10th, 2015 at Second Mount Carmel Baptist Church at 11 a.m. He is the son of the late Johnson Leggett, Sr. and Eleanor Handy Leggett. Johnson leaves us to cherish his precious memories through his wife, Joyce Dickey Leggett, son, Anthony T. Leggett , his wife,Misti G. Leggett and son Brian P. Leggett, daughter, Indya Brown, sisters, Donna Leggett, Leaster L. Miles, Shelia Ann Butler, brothers, Robert T. Leggett and Hosey Leggett, sister-in-law, Madeline Thompson, brother-in-law, Earnest Lee Dickey, mother-in-law, Lizzie Dickey, grandchildren, Dylan Guedry, Devan Guedry, Shelby Guedry and Chyann Nicole Johnson, godchildren, JonterriDarville and LaKeisha Landry, lifelong friend, Jerome Simms, and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.He is preceded in death by his father, Johnson Leggett Sr., mother, Eleanor Handy Leggett and sister, Sherry "Pine" Butler, brother-in-law, Shedrick "Shackin baby" Thompson, brother Lawrence Sanders, father-in-law, Albert Dickey, and sister-in-law, Mae Ruth May.
