Obituary

St. Matthew 5:4

Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.

Brother Karaz P. Stanley (Raz) was born September 5, 1992 to Albert J. Stanley and Gloria S. Perkins. He departed this life on Friday March 11, 2022 in Gonzales, La.

He was raised as a Christian and was baptized at an early age under the leadership of Reverend Elijah Jones at Greater Zion Hill Baptist Church in Smyrna, Ga. In his younger years, he loved to spend time at his big sister's Jackie house. He also enjoyed the company of her three children; Jarvis, Khalia and Hydeia. Although they were his nieces and nephews, they were more like sisters and brothers growing up. He was a very devoted father to his only son Karaz Stanley Jr. (K.J.). Karaz was a very hardworking man and had many talents. He graduated from Osborne High School Marietta, Ga in 2010. A couple of years later, he moved to Prairieville, La to be with his mother.

Karaz leaves to cherish his memories; 1 son Karaz Stanley Jr.(Whitley Starks), Labadieville, La, Parents, Albert Stanley, Tickfaw, La, Gloria (Melvin) Perkins, Prairieville, La, 7 siblings; Jacqueline Bailey, Marietta, Ga, Toriano (Cynthia) Stanley, Marietta, Ga, Necole Stanley, Tickfaw, La, Albert (April) Fiffe, Boutte, La, Appolonia Barnes (Fernando), Hammond, La, Marion York, Prairieville, La and Evelyn Perkins, Prairieville, La, 1 god-sister Gloria James, Marietta, Ga, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Karaz was preceded in death by his grandparents; William Paul, Mae Paul, John Stanley Sr, and Dorothy Stanley.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude for the overwhelming amount of love shown to them during their moment of bereavement. No act of kindness has gone unnoticed, and a more formal thank you will be done at a later date.

Please continue to keep this family in your thoughts and prayers.
