Leah J. Hollins passed away peacefully at her home in St. Gabriel, Louisiana on September 27, 2020 at the age of 87.

Leah was born on December 1, 1932. At an early age, Leah was baptized by the late Rev. P.E. Williams at the Mt. Bethel Baptist Church in Carville, Louisiana.

Leah was a former employee of the Department of Corrections at Louisiana Correctional Institute for Women. She then retired with 37 years of service. Cooking was her passion.

Leah leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter, Lauren Hollins, 3 sons; Eddie L. Hollins, Henry L. Hollins, Sr ( Joycelyn ) and Frederick L. Hollins, 19 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 1 great great- grandchild, D'arsey Mackyeon, 5 sisters and 3 brothers.

Leah is preceded in death by her husband, Louis Hollins, her son, Joseph Johnson, her mother, Vera Rollins and other family members as well.
