Obituary

Leola Butler, known to most as "Lee Lee" was born on February 22, 1945 to the parentage of Anderson Butler Sr. and Linny Butler. She was a native of Darrow, Louisiana but resided in Gonzales. She was the baby out of five children. Leola departed this earthly life on May 16, 2022 at St. Joseph's Carpenters House in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Leola was loved by everyone. To know her was to love her. She loved God and was always listening to and singing her gospel music. Leola didn't have a problem with serving God and giving Him all the Glory and Praise.

Lee Lee was a member of the former C.O.E.A, which is not The Arc of East Ascension for over forty years.

Leola leaves to cherish her sweet memories, one extended sister, Barbara Caster from Cincinnati, OH, her nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and her great-great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Leola is preceded in death by her parents, Anderson and Linny Butler, Sr., one sister, Ida Gable Duhon, three brothers, David Lomas, Anderson Butler, Jr., and Henderson Butler.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude for the overwhelming amount of love shown to them during their moment of bereavement. No act of kindness has gone unnoticed, and a more formal thank you will be done at a later date.

Please continue to keep this family in your thoughts and prayers.
