Mr. Leslie Beauchamp was born on February 21, 1931. He was a native of Baton Rouge and a resident of Gonzales. He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior early on. He was a faithful member of Sweet Home Baptist Church in Baton Rouge. Leslie departed this life on Tuesday, December 12, 2023. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosie Beals-Beauchamp; father, Frank Beauchamp; brothers, Dorsey Beauchamp, Arteal Beals and Walter Beals Sr.; sisters, Evelyn Beauchamp, Rosa Lee Beals-Brown and Geneva Beals-Brown; and son, John Talbert. Leslie is survived by his beautiful wife, Mable Beauchamp of Gonzales, LA; his son,  Wilbert Brooks (Ada) of Baton Rouge, LA; his daughter-in-law, Rosemary Talbert of Baton Rouge, LA; devoted grandsons, Eddie Talbert and John Talbert Jr (Josephine); grandsons, Willie Johnese III (Carmen) and William Talbert (Nechelle); granddaughters Kenya Raby (Trevis), Keshia Brooks and Leslia Brooks (Ronnie); 18 great grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Through his union with Mable Beauchamp, Leslie inherited a family who loved him dearly and whom he considered his children. Leslie leaves to cherish his memory his step-sons, Donald James Sr. (Marva) and Johnny Johnson (Courtney); his step-daughters, Ruby Brown (Clarence), Janell Braxton (Mark), Rethia Johnson (Arthur), Lorraine Davis (Frederick), Hazel Abram (Bill), Tasheka Dukes (Everett), Naikesha James, Johnnie Weams (Tyrone), and LaToya Jackson (Quincy);  and a host of step-grandchildren, step great-grandchildren and step great-great-grandchildren.
