Obituary

Lloyd Clarence Irvin, 67, died Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family. He was President of the ILA Local 3033, Port Allen, Louisiana, until his retirement. He was a native of Hillaryville, Louisiana and resident of Gonzales, Louisiana. Visitation: Friday, May 9, 2014 Ebenezer Baptist Church, Darrow, Louisiana, from 5-8pm. There will be a viewing Saturday, May 10, 2014, at Hopeful Triumph Baptist Church, Hillaryville, Louisiana, from 9am until religious service at 11. Reverend Earl Bell officiating. He is survived by his wife of 40 years Della Herbert Irvin. Three daughters, Deshonna (Levan) Jackson, Danitria (Johnny L.) Norman, and DeShandra Irvin (Rondell); Five grandchildren, Devin, Destini, Danae, Darien, and Dania; two step-grandchildren Jonathan and Jalen; three sisters, LouAnn (Norman) Scott, Shelia and Veronica Irvin; two brothers, Leonard (Julia) Irvin Sr. and Wardell (Beverly) Irvin; five sisters-in-law, Cynthia Irvin, Shirley (Herman) Jenkins Jr., Myrtle Felton, Stephanie Jacobs, and Wornet Irvin; a host nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Proceeded in death by his parents Randolph and Doretha Irvin, one sister Diane Robinson, two brothers Felton and Burnell Irvin, in-laws Wallace and Velma Herbert Sr., Wallace Herbert Jr., Edward Robinson Sr. and Johnel Felton Sr.
