Mr. Louis Perkins, Sr., 79 a native of Darrow, Louisiana and a resident of Gonzales, Louisiana, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at Clarity Crossing Hospice Home in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 13, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Lawson-Rollins Purple Shield Funeral Home, 511 West Tobey Avenue, Gonzales, LA 70737. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at Word of Life Christian Center from 9:00 a.m. to 11 a.m. Funeral services starting at 11 a.m. Dr. Leroy Thompson, officiating.  Burial will follow in ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­True Light Worship Center Cemetery.

M r. Perkins is survived by his wife, 2 sons, 1 daughter, 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 1 step-daughter and 1 step-son, 3 sisters, 3 brothers and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Mr. Perkins was preceded in death by his first wife Virginia James Perkins, son Quavis Perkins, two grandsons, parents, one sister, and one brother.
