A highly creative person and a gifted professional, retired nurse Lydia Rousell Montalvo passed on January 26, 2015. Lydia's unrelenting demonstration of the LORD's love and her vivacious personality were infectious and will be greatly missed! She was born in New Orleans 60 Years ago of Rudolph Batiste Rousell Sr. and Amy Woods Rousell. She was the only daughter among 6 brothers: Rudolph (Anita), Tyrone (Linda), Don (Jennifer), Van (Dorothy), Joel (Sonja) and Michael (Alyndra). While she is preceded in death by both parents, she is survived by her children, Dawn, Donald and (stepdaughter) Victoria; her stepmother, Hattie Stalbert; her aunts and uncles; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a member of Word of Life Christian Center, 40066 Hwy 22 Darrow, La., where her life celebration service will be conducted on Saturday, February 7, 2015, at 11:00 am. Her active pallbearers are her son, Donald and her nephews, Tyrone Jr., Van Jr., Aseiko, Donovan and Asein. Her honorary pallbearer is her cousin David. The repast will be held at the Bloom Center, 1501 St. Patrick Street in Donaldsonville, La.
