Marsha Renee Graves Taylor was born on August 30, 1956 in Hempstead (Long Island), New York to the union of Nathaniel Graves and the late Rosa Mae Camp Graves. Surrounded by a Band of Angels, Marsha departed this earthly life on Sunday, December 17, 2017 in Fort Washington, Maryland.


At an early age, Marsha was baptized and dedicated her life to Christ. After graduating high school, Marsha earned an associate degree in business. Upon graduation, she relocated to Washington, D.C. Marsha accepted a position with the United States Federal Government and began her professional career. Marsha retired in March 2015, from the Office of the Inspector General (OIG), after 38 years of successful service.


Marsha was full of energy and loved a goodtime. Marsha was an avid bowler and was a member of the Sassy but Classy Ladies Bowling Club. Marsha was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Marsha's absolute favorite thing was traveling nationally and internationally on vacations, going to sporting events and attending conferences with her baby sister, Denise.


Marsha was married for ten years to Bradley Lafayette Taylor, Jr., who predeceased her. She was a loving stepmother to three children. Marsha leaves a legacy of love and memories that will forever be cherished by her loving father and stepmother, Nathaniel and Josie Graves, Darrow, LA; sister, A. Denise Graves, Gonzales, LA; stepsister, Lesa Thompson, Sorrento, LA; niece, Porcha C. Thompson, Gonzales, LA; aunt, Seraphine "Phene" Graves, Darrow, LA, and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.


Marsha Renee Graves Taylor was preceded in death by her mother, Rosa "Rose" Mae Camp Graves; paternal grandparents, Banks and Evelyn Graves; maternal grandparents, Roy and Rena Camp, and uncle, Leo John Graves, Sr.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude for the overwhelming amount of love shown to them during their moment of bereavement. No act of kindness has gone unnoticed, and a more formal thank you will be done at a later date.
