Mary Cornish, 93, a resident of Darrow, Louisiana, passed away peacefully at St. Elizabeth Hospital on Friday, November 29, 2013. Mary Cornish was born in Geismar, La to the late Horace and Mary Cornish on April 30, 1920. She found great joy in serving her church as an usher and spending time with her loving family. She is survived by four (4) children, Annie Cornish, Ruby Cornish, Gail Cornish, and Dale Cornish; One (1) loving nephew, Emile Franklin; Three (3) grandchildren, Laquita, Trachelle, and Amber; Nine (9) great-grandchildren, Cabryn, Kelsey, Conner, Jada, Carson, Carlee, Jeremy Jr., Corbin, and Sidney; One (1) godchild, Ethel Hubert as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceeded in death by Two (2) sons; Ronald and Donald Cornish and Three (3)siblings, Earline McCary, Horace Cornish Jr., and Thomas Harris. Viewing will be at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 3559 Jackson St. Darrow, La on Friday, December 6, 2013 from 8:00 a.m. until religious service at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in the Ebenezer B.C. Cemetery.
