A Godly life ended, Sunday February 9, 2020. Mary Morris Holloway went home to be with the lord. Mary, affectionately known as "Deedie" was born on August 24, 1933 to the union of the late Albert Morris Sr and Erma Morris

Mary joined church at a young age at the Mt. Mount Pilgrim baptist church under the leadership of Rev Henderson Jackson where she served as a life long member of the choir, where she ministered God's word affectionately through song.

Mary was married to the late James Holloway, Sr and to this union 2 children were born.

Mary was employed at Touro Medical Center in New Orleans, LA before moving back to Geismar where she then became employed at Walmart in Gonzales, LA. During this time she was also a caregiver for Ms. Sophia.

She leaves to cherish her memories 2 children, James Jr (Sandra) of Alexandria, LA, and Angela Holloway of Geismar, LA; 4 grandchildren Lawrenell and Jazzmine, Lamarius (kenisha), and Jamie Lynn; 2 great grandchildren, Marlee and Journey; 4 sisters, LeEster Brown, Hilda Valentine (Gene), Carolyn Jackson and Lily Morris- Cheatham; 4 sister-in-laws, Audrey, Nell, Betty Morris, and Bet Jean Holloway, a devoted friend, Mr. Leo Gaines Sr., Daughter in love Ardene Johnson, special friend Dennis Carey, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents Albert Sr and Erma Morris; 4 brothers, Melvin, Ernest, Izeal, and Albert Jr; 1 sister, Alice Cushenberry.
