Mary Magdelene Bennett Lawson, passed away on Friday May 20, 2016 at the age of 80 at Baton Rouge General Hospice. She was a native and resident of Gonzales, La. Her memory and legacy will forever live on in the hearts of all who loved her.

She is survived by her devoted son, Charles Anthony (Deborah) Bennett, Gonzales, LA; 3 grandchildren, Cody (Alisha) Howard, Chance and Chaney Bennett; 2 great grand children,Trinity Howard and Callie Bennett, Gonzales, LA ; 3 sisters, Ethel Jackson of Avondale, LA, Irma Bennett Kincey of Baton Rouge, LA, and Odessa Shortridge of Houston TX; 3 brothers, Isaac (Gerri) Bennett Jr. of Macon GA., Simon Bennett Sr. of Marrero, LA and John Bennett of Gonzales, LA; 1 sister-in-law, Mary Bennett of St. Gabriel, LA and a host of relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Isaac Sr. and Margaret Bennett; 2 sisters Stella Lloyd and Bessie Guillory and 1 brother Alec Bennett.
