Mary Ann Samuels, a resident of Prairieville, La., and a native of New Orleans, died on Friday, January 9, 2015, at The Crossing Hospice in Baton Rouge. She was born on December 26, 1948, to the late Mr. Ernest Samuels and Leotha Magee Samuels . She was 66. Mary leaves to cherish her memories 3 sons, Frederick Payton, Purnell Payton (Latonja) and Lawrence Payton(Keisha); 6 grandchildren, Jarrieth Patterson (Rebeka), Kevin Dunbar, Kelsey Payton, Lawrence Payton Jr., Kyla Payton and Ja'varrus Holmes; 1 great grandchild, Jayven Patterson; 1 sister, Ernestine Samuels Bobino; 1 brother, Charles Samuels and a host of nieces and nephews and a long time friend, Purnell Payton Sr. Visiting will be Friday, January 16, 2015, 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Lawson-Rollins Purple Shield Funeral Home in Gonzales, La.
