Nathaniel Roy Emerson, Jr. was born March 29, 1971. Roy, a native of Geismar and resident of St. Gabriel, departed this life, Saturday, January 25, 2014 at OLOL RMC, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Roy attended East Ascension High School. Roy was employed by Mike Anderson's (Captain's Quarter's) for many years. Roy leaves to cherish his memories, his parents: Nathaniel, Sr. and Mary Emerson, Gonzales, LA; one sister, Maria (Waldorf) Jacobs, Gonzales, LA; two daughters, Kanada (Douglas) Davis, Baton Rouge, LA; Ayana Emerson, Gonzales, LA, and one Step-son, Marcus Rome, New Orleans, LA. Two grand-children, Amari and Da'Miyah Davis, both of Baton Rouge, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visiting will be from 12:30 until 1:30 pm on Saturday, February 1st at First Pilgrim Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 11453 Highway 73, Geismar, LA, Rev. Edward Gaines, Officiating.
