Darville, Nellie; 91; A lifelong resident of Geismar, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2013 at Gonzales Health Care. Visitation will be held Friday, December 20, 2013, 5:00 p m to 8:00 p m at Progressive Baptist Church in Geismar, La. Religious services will be 11:00 a m at the church, Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013. Rev. Warren D. Richards officiating. She is survived by 2 sons, Austin Batiste and James Kent Sr. (Sarah); 8 grandchildren, Juanita Batiste, Donovan Batiste, Melissa Kent, James Kent Jr. (Vernice), Angeline Bruton (Terry), Jason Kent, John Kent and Joshua Kent; 4 great grandchildren, James Tamil Kent, Sarah Kent, Kelis Kent and Jaleah Kent; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Austin and Bertha Darville; 16 brothers and sisters and 1 daughter-in-law, Mary Lee Batiste.
