Oney M. Byrd, 72, a native of Clinton, LA, and a resident of Prairieville, LA, passed away peacefully on Thursday November 7, 2019 at her home.

Oney is survived by and leaves to cherish her precious memories 1 daughter Thelma Byrd, 2 sons; Johnnie P. Byrd and Robert L. Byrd, Grandchildren; LaKisha Byrd(Jermaine), Lillie Jones, DeAnn Thomas, D.Nicole Byrd (Keith), Keon Byrd, Arielle Anthony, Alkena Byrd, Takiya Bennet, and Devon Russ, Siblings; Eddie Henry Sr.(Marie), Jimmie Henry (Willamina), James Henry, Dorothy Mayer, Shirley Henry, Josephine Talbert(John), and Iona Henry, Godchildren; Wanda Williams, Angela Henry, John Henry, Reginald Henry, And Johnny Henry, Great-grandchildren; Jermon Byrd, MaKiyah Gray, KiShaara Byrd, Azarius Thomas, Journey Jenkins, and Dayon Bradley whom she helped raised, Michael Jamal Jones, Diamond Jones, Ty'Sharone Johnson, Ty' Jalon Johnson, Treighton Gonzales, Leighmian Gonzales, Aiyz'Lynn Gonzales, Mhakenzie Byrd, and Khaiy'Dence McDonnough, and a host of nieces nephews, cousins, and friends.

Oney was preceded in death by her parents Jimmie and Beatrice Henry, Husband Johnnie Byrd, grand-daughter Oney Byrd, Brother Percy Henry, Sisters; Nancy Jackson, Mary Lee White, and a host  of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces,  and Nephews .

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude for the overwhelming amount of love shown to them during their moment of bereavement. No act of kindness has gone unnoticed, and a more formal thank you will be done at a later date.
