Pamela Lynn Shorty, age 54, of Gonzales, Louisiana, passed away on February 27, 2024 at her resident. She was born on October 18, 1969, in Los Angeles, California, to the late Cleo W. Bridges and Victoria J. Bridges.

Pamela was a beloved wife of over 30 years to Kevin Shorty and a devoted mother to her daughter, Whitley Shorty, and son, Kevin Shorty Jr. She adored and cherished her three granddaughters, Jalayah, Summer, and Khinlee. Pamela will be deeply missed by her mother, Victoria J. Hill, and step-father, Herman Hill, along with her siblings, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Having been baptized at an early age, Pamela was known for her kindness, generosity, and loving nature. She was a certified nursing assistant for over 20 years, dedicating her career to caring for others in nursing homes and doing home health visits. Later in life, she found joy in being a stay-at-home mother, focusing on rearing and educating her granddaughters.

Outside of her career, Pamela enjoyed cooking, watching shows like Big Brother and The Amazing Race, and spending time with her granddaughters, family, and close friends. She was known as "the candy lady" in her community and was a trusted confidante and supportive presence to many.

Pamela's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace.
