Rachel Dawn Achord died peacefully on June 22, 2022, following a courageous battle with breast cancer at the age of forty-six years old. She was a native of Baton Rouge and born on December 29, 1975. Rachel was a loving mother who devoted her life to her family and could always find a reason for a family gathering. She was very creative and loved crafting as well as listening to live music. Prior to becoming a mother, she enjoyed working as a Pharmacy Tech at James Drug Store. She radiated such positive energy where everyone felt loved and accepted in her presence. She loved deeply and saw the good in everyone. Memorial service will be held at The Gatehouse (13469 S. Harrells Ferry Road, Baton Rouge, LA 70816) on Saturday, July 2 ^nd 11am – 1pm. She is survived by her daughter Madison Hager and granddaughter Remi Jade West; stepdaughter Llené Dowell; her loving boyfriend, Brian Gordon; bonus sons, Mason Gordon and Lathon Bailey as well as countless friends she considered to be family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Allyson Underhill; father, Sammy Achord; and niece, Ella Grace.  She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. We take great comfort in knowing that she is reunited with her mother and father and together again to rest eternally with the Lord.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude for the overwhelming amount of love shown to them during their moment of bereavement. No act of kindness has gone unnoticed, and a more formal thank you will be done at a later date.
